Dr. Shahnaz Chowdhury is a renowned expert in the treatment of infertility with Traditional Chinese Medicine along with Homeopathy and Botanical medicine. Her vision & goal for providing the most advanced and effective natural therapies to support patients during fertility treatments led to the emergence of a specialized centre – Halton Integrative Women’s Health Centre.
Dr. Chowdhury is a graduate of the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine. Prior to the ND program, she received her Bachelor’s degree in Molecular Biology at the University of Toronto, and then pursued her Master’s degree; specializing in cancer epidemiology. Dr. Chowdhury has always been passionate about women’s health and believes that empowering and inspiring patients is the root of healing process. Hence educating patients is the one of the key areas of focus in her practice. Through her work in numerous non-profit organizations, she brings to her practice many years of experience working with marginalized communities, advocating for accessible health care. Having worked in various community sectors, she understands the obstacles and challenges women face today in achieving great health.
Dr. Chowdhury specializes in fertility treatments, pre and post-natal care, thyroid disorders, autoimmune diseases, and hormone imbalances (PMS, PCOS, Menstrual irregularities, Premature Ovarian Failure, Menopause) with clinical focus in acupuncture, nutrition, biotherapeutic drainage, botanical medicine and homeopathy.
As a naturopathic doctor, Dr. Chowdhury is immensely passionate about empowering patients and helping them understand their role in taking charge of their health.
